On October 23, 2016, Archbishop Aquila opened the Fatima Pilgrimage Year and consecrated the Holy Door at Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Lakewood, Colorado, establishing it as a dedicated pilgrimage site. Following the 100th Anniversary of Our Lady's apparitions, the Pilgrimage Year concluded, and the Holy Door was closed on October 29, 2017.
Today, you can view the Holy Door carvings created by Joseph Sikora, now displayed on the wall of the main vestibule, and deepen your understanding of their symbolism and iconography. We also invite you to venerate the holy relics of Saints Francisco and Jacinta Marto, two of the Fatima shepherd children canonized by Pope Francis on May 13, 2017. These relics are displayed in the sanctuary wall to the left of the altar.
